Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D
Images
shot 1
17-35 mm a 17 mm
1/160 sec f/5,6
800 ISO
+1/3 stop
At 800 ISO the noise is hardly visible and chromatic saturation is not affected by the high sensitivity. The zoom performance at the shortest focal length is good. We have overexposed to 0.3 EV because the exposure meter was tricked by the extreme brightness of the sky. |
shot 2
17-35 mm a 28 mm
1/125 sec f/5,6
400 ISO
At 400 ISO the noise is practically unnoticeable. Chromatic saturation is very good, even if this image required contrast adjustment through manipulation of layers, as it was slightly overexposed. |
shot 3
17-35 mm a 17 mm
1/640 sec f/8,
100 ISO
The Dynax 7D performs best in bright sunny days. At 100 ISO image files are totally clear of noise, being their quality the best you can have in its category. Exposure latitude is very good as well, resulting in sharp details of lights and shadows. |
shot 4
17-35 mm a 30 mm
1/500 sec f/8
100 ISO
Also in this case the Dynax 7D, by measuring the exposure in weighted mode, has given a detailed and realistic result with no need of intervention. Slight chromatic aberrations (at 400%) are barely visible. |
shot 5
17-35 mm a 35 mm
1/200 sec f/11
100 ISO
In this picture the exposure meter of the Dynax 7D has chosen a compromise to avoid complete elimination of the clouds in the background, still keeping details of the trunks in the foreground visible. Unfortunately the clouds are barely visible all the same and the tree is too dark. |
shot 6
17-35 mm a 35 mm
1/300 sec f/8
100 ISO
White balance is very effective in automatic and natural light mode. Colors are saturated and realistic. By the artificial light, the automatic white balance requires few adjustments, but is not far from real. |
shot 7
17-35 mm a 35 mm
1/1250 sec f/4
3200 ISO
At its maximum possible sensitivity, the Dynax 7D shows evident noise, especially in chromatic shadows. Using a suitable software for noise reduction, shots can be saved with a sensitivity up to 3,200 ISO. |
shot 8
17-35 mm a 17 mm
1/25 sec f/8
100 ISO
+1,7 stop
In this image the exposure meter of the Dynax has been “tricked” by the light coming from the window, prompting us to overexpose by nearly 2 stops. The anti-shake mechanism worked very well also at 17 mm, avoiding any shake. |
